Michael is a CPA and attorney with 30 years of experience in the accounting profession.  His background includes auditing public and private companies in varying industries and representing parties in securities class action litigation and complex fraud investigations involving allegations of improper financial reporting, corporate governance failures, and auditor malpractice.  He has also advised public company management and boards of directors on internal controls, financial reporting, governance, and other compliance-related issues.

Michael comes to us from a Big Four accounting firm, where he worked in both the National Office and Office of General Counsel. During his time there, Michael was responsible for advising the firm on audit methodology and professional standards, risk management, ethics, internal and external inspections, quality assurance, root cause analysis, process improvement, professional development, litigation, and regulatory investigations.  Michael is also a Professor of Practice at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he teaches Principles of Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Auditing, and Corporate Governance and White-Collar Crime.
